People often ask.. Why the name KickR Technology Solutions?
It all started with a dream… I wanted to be a professional athlete. Whether it was baseball, football, or golf, I didn’t care; I just wanted to play sports for a living.
After narrowing down my options to baseball or football, I had a choice to make… Go to a large D1 college with hopes to walk onto a team, or play at a junior college. My path led me to football. I headed to Auburn University and walked on as a true freshman Kicker for the football team, which is where I got the name for my business.
After traveling for 4 years and earning a scholarship, my athletic career came to an end as quickly as it had begun. (I guess there’s always golf… maybe later.)
After graduating from Auburn with my bachelor’s degree, I went into the real world and moved back to my hometown of Atlanta. I worked for a wine and beer distributor for a couple of years selling our products to big box retail stores. After this, I made the jump into the world of cloud technology at a major service provider. After working with businesses of all sizes, I realized that I want to take care of my customers more than anything, even if that meant not getting the sale.
I’d rather create great relationships and help businesses, than selling services they don’t need. Realizing that this is an odd philosophy for a salesman to have, I started my own consulting company.
With my unique ability to identify a business’ needs and source the best solution for it, I didn’t want to only offer one solution. This is where the idea for KickR Technology Solutions comes from. I source and offer my clients the best solution for their needs, at the best price, and build great relationships while doing it.
